In September, my older brother Ben and his lovely wife Row had their first baby – Olivia. She arrived early, much to everyone’s surprise – I guess she couldn’t wait to meet her awesome Auntie 😉 She was a wee 5 pounds, 12 ounces, and the perfect armful of baby goodness. She was just so sweet and calm – and even when I saw her at the last couple of our noisy family gatherings, she was happily snoozing away. She was so snoozy that I was a little sad I didn’t get to see one of her happy-and-full-of-milk smiles. Well, it’s a good sign that she can handle our crazy family. I managed to get over for a quick little visit in the first two weeks of her birth to meet her and see how the new parents were managing. This is when got to see my brother hold his own baby for the first time. It was really, really wonderful to see and while I used to chuckle at how he held his nieces and nephews like they were ticking time bombs, he looked like a pro with his own baby. Way to go, you guys! It’s so fantastic to have another baby in the family to cuddle and love.
