Well, it’s good thing we did this shoot when we did because as of right now, most of the snow has melted and outdoor skating on ponds and rivers is officially finished for the season. When Heather asked me if I wanted to do a winter shoot that included skating, I was so pumped. Skating is such a fun winter activity and for this outdoor-loving, active family, a shoot that involved their family all skating sounded was perfect. And because we’re hardy prairie folk – we can handle the cold! Fortunately, the ice held out for us and we had a ton of fun and pretty much had the pond to ourselves that afternoon. And no one fell – including myself as I was prepared with ice grippers on my boots! Love these guys and loved this shoot!
